Courtney M. Sierra
She is the ideal attorney you want representing you. All the attorneys and staff at Kraayeveld Law Offices seem to share Courtney’s focus, drive, and ethics in family law, making the firm a great team to have supporting you in your case. I highly recommend Courtney Sierra and Kraayeveld Law Offices.
Being an attorney has been a long-standing goal for Courtney. Ever since Courtney was twelve years old, Courtney sought ways to help people. When Courtney heard that a friend struggled with a debilitating illness, Courtney arranged a fundraiser to cover health care and living expenses. Courtney convinced small business owners to donate goods and funds, and Courtney organized one of the best fundraisers in her community raising more than $28,000.00 to help the family.
Shortly after college, Courtney contributed to society with hands-on work as a psychiatric rehabilitation therapist. Courtney worked with high-risk children, ages 3 to 13, who struggled with a variety of challenges that mental health difficulties can bring. Many of these children came from blended families and difficult family dynamics. The experience as a psychiatric rehabilitation therapist helps Courtney understand the struggles that our clients sometimes experience with their children during divorce and separation. Courtney’s experience provides her with an excellent background to create a strategy for her clients during child custody disputes.
Courtney was born and raised in Soda Springs, Idaho, population 3,000 and dwindling. When Courtney’s husband’s career brought the family to Kent County, Michigan, Courtney pursued her goal of becoming an attorney and enrolled in Western Michigan University Thomas M. Cooley Law School. Courtney graduated cum laude and joined the Kraayeveld Law team.
Courtney and her husband have a preschool-aged daughter. Courtney is a Star Wars fan and an Elf volunteer for the Circuit Court’s adoption day.
