Taylor grew up in the Dallas-Fort Worth area and earned her B.A. in English Literature at Furman University before attending the University of Oklahoma College of Law on an academic scholarship. In law school, she served on the leadership team for the Art and Cultural Heritage Society, was active in the Organization for the Advancement of Women in Law, made the Dean’s List, and was a regional finalist in the ABA Employment Law Mock Trial Competition.

She began her legal career as a prosecutor in Oklahoma’s fastest-growing county and also worked with the Oklahoma Attorney General’s Organized Crime Unit. Taylor is a decorated “trial dog,” eventually earning her position as the attorney for her county’s Special Victim team, earning multiple awards for her trial advocacy and pioneering the use of culturally specific expert witnesses in domestic violence trials. Her accolades include several Guardian Awards, the Compass Award for trial advocacy in 2023, and the Attorney General Award for Excellence in Action Against Domestic Violence. Taylor and her family later moved to Michigan to enjoy four seasons and be closer to family.

Taylor is known for her tenacity, creative strategies, and persuasive arguments centered on the human perspective. Her passion for advocacy has carried seamlessly into family law, and with her long history of negotiating hundreds of high-stakes cases, secured multiple trial victories,she is committed to improving her clients’ lives.

Outside of work, Taylor and her family love spending time outdoors with their pets, River, Charlie, and Zoe. She’s a true nerd at heart and enjoys chatting about books, board games, and “fun” Lord of the Rings trivia.
