Matthew F. Burns

Matthew F. Burns

Senior Associate
Grand Rapids, Michigan

After growing up in the Chicago suburbs, Matt moved up to the West Michigan area to attend Grand Valley State University. While attending GVSU he was a member of the Men's Ice Hockey Club and also met his wife, Lindsey. Matt and Lindsey have two children.

Matt enjoys the challenge of practicing law and assisting his clients through the maze that can be the court system. He realizes that when clients come to our office they are going through a difficult period in their life. Matt views his role as listening to the goal of the client and then developing a plan that the client, Matt, and the rest of the staff at Kraayveld Law put into action to reach that goal.

When not in the office, Matt enjoys spending time with his family and playing golf. He is also an assistant coach for the GVSU Women's Ice Hockey Club.
